The Cinelog OpenColorIO configuration is a purpose built solution for scene-referred linear color management in Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro and Photoshop. It requires installation of a third party plugin (there are currently 2 different versions, one built for After Effects and Premier Pro and another ‘static’ version for Photoshop).
The Cinelog configuration includes most known camera log colorspaces (gamma and gamuts) including Alexa Log-C/Alexa Wide Gamut RGB, Sony Slog/S-Gamut variants, Blackmagic Design BMD Film variants*, Panasonic V-Log and even a few lesser known options plus standard display transforms for sRGB, Rec709, Rec2020 HLG, P3 output. Also included are basic ACES colorspace transforms that can be used for ACES workflows in After Effects or for connection to the official ACES configuration.
We also include many custom Cinelog looks including DSLR picture style simulations, alternative matrix looks and film looks. The built-in looks are also part of the Cinelog Looks Vol.1 Enhanced Profiles pack for Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom.
For details of how to configure Adobe After Effects for an ACES workflow involving Cinelog-C profiles and the Cinelog OpenColorIO configuration, please see the Cinelog in ACES guide in the Members Only Area.
